For nearly a century and a half, the purpose of Memorial Day has
been to honor American servicemen and women who have died in war, but the
meaning sometimes gets lost amid the barbecues and the three-day weekend.
Memorial Day means different things to different
people. Some proudly hang up the
flag and pay respect to those who defend our country. Others see it as a three-day weekend, the start of barbecue
season or a chance to get out of town.
Cinderella Carpet One in Salinas and San Luis Obispo
would like to hear about your Memorial Weekend traditions. How do you spend your weekend? Will you pause and pay homage to our
armed forces? Let us know what you
are doing to celebrate in the comments section and we will share the best story
in next week’s blog.
The owners and staff of Cinderella Carpet
One stand up in appreciation of the U.S. Armed Forces who have died
defending our country. Memorial
Day to us isn’t about war or all the feelings that go along with it. It’s about individuals who chose to
serve in the United States Military and the sacrifices they make for their
country.
Happy Memorial Day from Cinderella Carpet One!
